What Are KGR Keywords? [Keyword Golden Ratio]

How Does KW Sniper's Keyword Research Service Work?

After you place an order, you will submit the basic information we need to get started.  At a minimum, this should include your niche or topic that you would like researched.  For our Pro plan, you should also submit a competitor's domain name.  The competitor should be as relevant as possible.  We'll start mining for keywords using both processes.

After we have a list of highly targeted keywords, we run them through some automation tools and APIs to gather a lot of useful information such as monthly search volume, CPC, # of allintitle results, KGR value, search volume trend, and more.

Next we filter these results for low competition keywords a number of ways.  This way we provide you a list of highly targeted and low competition keywords that you can hand off to a writer or start writing yourself right away.

The Pro version of the service will also include a list of the most relevant keywords your competitor ranks for and point out all of the easy wins.

Feel free to reach out via our contact page if you have additional questions.  We'd be happy to send you a sample report or free trial.

How To Get The Most Out Of Our Service

One thing you can do to get the best results from this service is break down the topic of your site into subcategories.  Rather than having us do research on a broad topic, I have found that its best to stick with the main topics that make up the subcategories of your website.

You can then use the list we provide to break it up into individual posts on your site that are all closely related.

What are KGR Keywords?

KGR is an acronym for Keyword Golden Ratio.  KGR keywords are keywords that have a KGR value of less than  0.25.  KGR is essentially a calculation that can be used as a keyword difficulty score and help you find low competition keywords.

This is one of many ways we find low-comp keywords.  We didn't create it, we include it because it is a metric that is fairly well known across the industry.  It was initially made popular by Doug Cunnington.
